Maintenance Instructions:
To ensure lasting protection; occasional maintenance with cutting board or butcher block conditioners (oil, wax, etc..) is recommended. These food grade conditioners can be purchased at any big box/grocery store. Use a soft cloth or paper towel in a circular motion to buff oil into the board. Apply a thin coat to the entire surface, front and back, as well as the sides. Let the oil soak in for a few hours or overnight (board can lay horizontally with oil). Wipe clean and let dry until the next use.
If the board is used regularly then condition board every four to five uses. If the board is only used occasionally then condition every couple months. Over time you will notice when the board starts to look dull and feel dry, this is when you'll know the board need conditioned.
Proper cleaning and care of these boards will help to board colors look a vibrant as the day you purchased it.
